Wrocław is not only a beautiful city full of monuments, museums and parks, but also one of those places in Poland where there is always something going on in the cultural sphere.

The multitude of concert halls, theaters, and clubs means that every day (or rather every evening) you can go to some interesting performances. It is worth following the news on posters or on the Internet. Let's briefly get to know a few selected possibilities for a weekend trip to this city.

Venues in Wroclaw with live music?

Among the many live music venues in Wrocław, the most recommended ones include:

• Stary Klub “Alive”, which is located in a rather unusual way on the railway embankment. On weekends it gathers lovers of blues, pop, metal or reggae music. You will find it on Kolejowa Street.
• "Przybij Piątaka" has two locations - at Purkyniego Street and at Kazimierza Wielkiego Street. Here you can listen to interesting sounds but also order "something to eat" in the form of steak tartare, toast or warm sausage.
• Niebo Cafe Wrocław offers a similar atmosphere to the Alive club presented above. Here you can not only listen but also dance to jazz music, for example. And if you play an instrument yourself, you will have the opportunity to show your skills at a jam session.
• The Gothic Hall in the Old Monastery also offers various types of performances, additionally "embellished" with unusual scenery. It is worth checking the repertoire because there are concerts of very popular bands.
• “Nietota” is a venue that attracts not only musicians but also various other artists, for example actors, with interesting performances.

What concerts take place at the famous National Forum of Music?

The National Forum of Music in Wrocław named after Witold Lutosławski was established in 2014. It is a complex of many concert and chamber halls in a modern building at Wolności Square. Here you can hear performances by choirs, philharmonics, artists playing the violin, piano, early music performers, etc. One of the most famous cyclical events that take place here is the International Festival Wratislavia Cantans.

Hidden attractions are those that are often omitted in popular guides. That is, unusual, non-obvious, but worth learning about. These include, among others, the Terrace at Cafe Borówka and the Puppet Theatre. Cafe Borówka, a café combined with a coffee roastery, invites interested people to the terrace located on the building's roof. While drinking coffee or eating a cake, you can look down on the city and its passers-by. The Wrocław Puppet Theatre can be a proposition for families with children. After all, most of the performances here are intended for the youngest audience.
