This is the oldest restaurant on the Wrocław Market Square. The spirit of times gone by can be felt here from the very entrance. In 1273, a beer house began operating in the basement, serving a golden drink imported from Świdnica - hence the name of this place. The basement has hosted the most famous Poles, including Józef Wybicki and Fryderyk Chopin. Today, due to its history, unique interiors and unusual menu, it is very popular among Wrocław residents and tourists.

In this restaurant on the Market Square in Wrocław, you can, just like in the old days, drink a foamy drink. However, a novelty is the so-called beer walle, a wall with pourers, with the help of which you can fill your own mug. The chef recommends classic snacks or filling European dishes to go with beer. For a smaller hunger, there is a crunchy beer pretzel, the flavor of which has been enhanced with cumin, best ordered with a board of aromatic local cold cuts. The basis of a real feast can be German kasseler, or smoked pork neck, and for vegetarians - cauliflower steak.

Vega Bar Weganski is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Poland. Since 1987, meatless (vegetarian) dishes have been served at the Wrocław Market Square, and since 2013, the entire menu of the Vega bar has been filled with exclusively plant-based (vegan) options. Experience in vegetarian culinary art can be felt in every bite. The dishes are light and also loved by meat lovers. They are always distinguished by their distinctive taste and abundance of vegetables.

The menu includes both Polish soups and vegan versions of traditional dinners. Instead of a minced cutlet, expect a beetroot cutlet, and instead of a rolled beef roulade, a groats roulade. The richness of flavors on the menu is complemented by Far Eastern dishes, such as Pad Thai or curry served with rice and salad.
