Wrocław for a weekend for two – What to see?

Wrocław is one of those cities that you can visit many times and always find something interesting that you haven't seen before.

You may have already been to the Market Square with its beautiful tenement houses and town halls, or you may have visited the Botanical Garden or the National Museum. Let us suggest a few more suggestions here.

Wroclaw for a weekend - what's worth seeing?

Among the many attractions of the city, we recommend, for example, viewing points, thanks to which you can see the whole of Wrocław in a few minutes from a bird's eye view. And there are many of them. Among others, the Sky Tower, the Penitents' Bridge between the towers of St. Magdalene's Cathedral, the tower of St. John's Cathedral, or outside the city but quite close, the viewing tower in Kotowice in the open air (attention! Do not read in Katowice). Thanks to the latter, you will look at the most beautiful green areas in the vicinity of Wrocław, entered on the list of protected Natura 2000 areas. What else is worth seeing in Wrocław?

For lovers of walks in green areas, we recommend the Japanese Garden, which is part of Szczytnicki Park. A boat trip on the Oder can be very romantic. Many tourists also cannot resist the temptation to count (or collect in photos) the Wrocław dwarves. And there are quite a few of them and more come every now and then. Most often, the dwarves sit or stand near other Wrocław attractions, so you will visit the entire city along the way. In some Wrocław bookstores, you can apparently buy a map with all the dwarves marked.

The most interesting attractions of the city also include the Centennial Hall, Afrykarium, the Racławice Panorama, the largest painting in our country. And also the monuments on Ostrów Tumski. On the other hand, it is worth suggesting to all those who like theatre to familiarize themselves with the current repertoire of the Komedia Theatre, the Capitol Musical Theatre or the Wrocław Opera.

As for interesting facts about Wrocław, we will tell you that there are a lot of bridges in the city – the most in Poland. Good for romantic photos.

Where to sleep in Wroclaw?

Hotels on the Market Square and those a little further away

Wrocław is one of those cities in Poland where the accommodation base is very rich and practically everyone can find something for themselves. If you want to be close to the city center, to stroll around the Old Town in the evenings, visit restaurants or cinemas, we recommend hotels that are located in the immediate vicinity of the Market Square or nearby. However, if you prefer a more quiet place, where loud music from nearby venues does not reach, it is better to choose something more out of the way. A cheaper alternative to hotels, which are unfortunately quite expensive in the city, can be hostels available for almost every budget. There are also quite a lot of them in Wrocław.
